Applications Engineer, Structural Analysis (2 Positions Available)

COMSOL, Inc. in Burlington, MA, is seeking an Applications Engineer to join our growing team. In this position you will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities, allowing for your personal growth and upward movement within the company. Our office serves the Eastern United States and Canada.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for COMSOL Multiphysics in the field of structural analysis
• Give product demonstrations at seminars, workshops, conferences, and meetings with customers
• Act as instructor at product training sessions
• Working collaboratively with development engineers and participate in product development for structural analysis applications

Qualities:

• Business oriented
• Genuine interest of mathematical modeling, computational physics, and related software modeling tools, particularly within the field of structural analysis
• Experience in linear and nonlinear analysis
• Experience in acoustics and/or piezoelectric analysis a plus
• Strong attention to customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High energy, self-motivated, quick study with positive attitude, flexible nature and goal-oriented work habits

Requirements:

• M.S. or Ph.D. in engineering or physical sciences
• Experience in mathematical modeling
• Eligibility for work in the US

Preference will be given to applicants with COMSOL Multiphysics experience and a solid background in Applied Mathematics.
