How do I get the edge indexes for specific boundaries?

I am trying to define a curvilinear geometry with, say, three straight edges and a sinusoidal one (made of several straight segments). I need the indexes for those segments, in order to mesh properly and to specify the appropiate boundary conditions, but so far, I have found no way to do it.
The reason I'm doing this is to solve a fluid problem with a free surface. As the mesh gets strained with time evolution, the solver soons starts complaining about mesh inverted elements. The remeshing feature is just useless, as the topology of the free surface changes and COMSOL is no longer able to convert the mesh to a new geometry (varying order error).
I figured out that it would be better to redo the geometry, but it is just more complicated than I expected. Is there any way to give a name to a group of edges somehow so that boundary conditions are easy to specify?
Thank you
