3D Heat Generator

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello everyone,

I have never used COMSOL before and i'm trying to model a 3d heat generator. I am using version 4.2 of COMSOL.

The generator is essentially a rotating metal plate with a path running through it. the plate has a set of magnets above and below it.

I've been looking at various examples such as the 3d generator in the model libary and the permanent magnet tutorial in order to try and learn abit about what I should be doing.

Can you give me any advice on what physics I should have and how to set it up? So far I have been trying to get it to just display the magnetic field produced by the magnets when the plate is sationary and I havent been having any luck.

The model attached contains the geometry I am using.

Thank you
Robert
