Separating two material

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello, i am working with transient moving mesh node with two domains.

And i want to simulate,

1. Firstly, two materials were moving same velocity and direction with connected at boundary

2. Then after 1 second, the one material stopped and the other material moved. So, they are separated.

But I found that the mesh at connected boundary of stopped material followed to the moving material.(plz check the attached file)

I think both material were defined as moving with ' prescried mesh velocity'

I want to separate those materials each other.

Anyone can help?

Thanks

Hi

you are asking for a change in topology that cannot be easily done with a mesh and certainly not in union mode, some phase change methode or clever use of assembly mode should do. Check the doc

Good luck
