Fixed initial value depends on times

Hi all.
I have a question as following:

I am doing transient calculation on heat transfer in solid interface. Initial temperature of each domain is fixed. Heat source is decreasing by time. I want to see the hottest temperature profile when time is going on.

But, it is very strange that when I change the times from range(0,0.1,10) to range(0,10000,1000000) [under study>Step1:Time dependent> Times arrow], the initial temperature is not same with initial value in the model. Of course, the hottest temperature profile is different.

Why is that? Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hi

without the model it's difficult to say,

It could be that when you change the time scale like that, the solver prepares the model differently, based on your material heat diffusivity and mesh density, I'm not sure how this is done within COMSOL, or if this is really considered

Good luck
