Lightning-Induced Voltage of an Overhead Line Over Lossy Ground

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am trying to simulate and study the lightning induced voltage of an overhead line over lossy ground. Can you tell me why the material for wire is chosen as air instead of metal and why is it placed in a rectangular prism. Can you also tell me why the wire is kept on the capacitor on the ground.

Regards, Ankit
