Hi all,
I have a comlex geometry in 3D, which is not suitable for simplification. I have to model a wire of a coil together witz its insulation. The wire has a dimension of some mm while the insulation is 0.2mm. The total dimension of the model is about 400 mm. Now I get errors during meshing, including selfintesecting boundaries. Is there a (easy) way to find these "error" boundaries? Or is it possible in preprocessing, to cut the model and see only the geometry on this cutplane.?
Does anybody has some suggestions

Thanks
Uwe

Hi

it's often useful to cut a geometry, i.e. through 1-3 planes, and if you have some symmetry, manually mesh using this local symmetry

Good luck
