Very interesting topic you have, and that much complex.
I know only one book in spanish about comsol:

maybe it can give you some hints to start.
Have you already decided how you model is going to be mathematically, or you want to model an experiment you have done? single granule is not that difficult, but distribution can be tricky.

I believe Comsol manuals are initially good to start. There is a rather detailed section devoted to PDEs.

It seems like "COMSOL Mulltuphysics->Convection and Diffusion" is the application mode you should use. If you are interested in free PDE modeling you can have a look at this example:

but as my spanish is rather primitive I have not yet bought it, allthough it looks interesting as I'm back in fluidics too.
You could try to get it on loan through a librabry as the introductionary part of Comsol is rather similar for all physics
