Random positions with particle tracing

I'm using the new version of COMSOL 4.0 and I'm trying to figure out how to define a set of random particle origin points and velocities. How is this done? I'm led to believe I can do this in MATLAB, but I'd like to continue doing the particle tracing in COMSOL and not MATLAB.

Also, the particles seem to travel through the boundaries I've defined, taking the trajectories only determined by the electrostatic field. How is this fixed?

Thanks a ton.
