Chemical Equilibrium in a Protein Adsorption Ion-exchanger

This example uses algebraic equilibrium relations to model the time-dependent adsorption of proteins to an ion-exchange medium.
The fluid phase contains three components: two proteins and one salt. The adsorption/desorption kinetics are described by a set of equilibrium reactions where proteins displace ions adsorbed at the surface and vice versa.
The model highlights the implementation of reactions at chemical equilibrium in mass-transport modeling by setting up the balance equations describing the present diffusion/reaction system results in a system of six partial differential equations.
To include equilibrium reactions in your kinetics, simply enter the chemical reaction formulas and the corresponding equilibrium constants.
