Analysis of Highly-dense LED StructuresTe-Yuan Chung

In this presentation we consider LED lighting.
We begin the presentation by explaining the basics of LED lighting and the opportunities it provides. We then provide examples of different issues with LED lighting, such as optical, electrical, thermal and mechanical issues.
The presentation is accompanied by Numerical Models made in COMSOL Multiphysics of LED lighting. At the end of the presentation we give a forecast on what will happen in the LED area in the next coming years.
Keynote speaker's biography: Prof. Te-Yuan Chung is with the Institute of Optical Science, National Central University since 2006. He has earned a PhD degree in Optics at University of Central Florida, College of Optics and Photonics/CREOL/FPEC in 2004.
He has been using COMSOL Multiphysics since 2003 for research and education in thermal management of high power lasers.
Te-Yuan Chung was one of the keynote speakers at the COMSOL User's Conference, fall 2006 in Taipei.
