Using the AC/DC Module in the classroom

Potential and magnetic field from a power inductor.
The AC/DC Module contains formulations and interfaces for the modeling of static and low-frequency applications. Default solver settings allow for the most optimal solution scheme for all electrostatic, magnetostatic, and quasi-static applications:
- Easy-to-use application modes: Students will immediately recognize formulations of the Maxwell's equations for statics and AC/DC applications
- The Model Library: 30 fully documented example models are available from fields such as modeling electrical components, magnets, motors and drives, and other industrial applications. A selection of tutorial models summarize the wide-ranging application modes, different boundary conditions, and other features found within the AC/DC Module
- Pre-defined multiphysics couplings: Special multiphysics interfaces for modeling rotating machinery, joule heating, and inductive heating allow the student to investigate AC/DC-based multiphysics applications
