Researching with the Chemical Engineering Module

Simulation of the production of polymer linkage in a multijet reactor.
The ability to arbitrarily couple any number of nonlinear PDEs makes the Chemical Engineering Module a unique tool for sophisticated and nonstandard modeling. Among its features are:
- Equation-based modeling—In manipulating the comprehensive predefined modeling interfaces, thermodynamic parameters such as diffusivity, conductivity, heat capacity, and density can be arbitrary functions of the modeled variables. You can define reaction kinetics freely as mathematical expressions of temperature, compositions, or pressure, or integrate the model with expressions defined in the Reaction Engineering Lab
- Design optimization—The built-in parametric solver in combination with MATLAB provides a useful way for optimizing detailed models in plant studies and parameter analysis
- Model Library—Fully documented models from customers enhance entries based upon scientifically published papers in application areas such as reaction engineering, electrochemical engineering, unit operations, electrophoresis, chromatography, and microfluidics. These along with a number of tutorial examples build up a Model Library with almost 60 downloadable models.
