Build Simulation Apps from Your COMSOL Multiphysics® Model

Durée: 26:28

The Application Builder enables you to build specialized apps from your models in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software. Using the busbar model in the Application Library, we build a specialized app to examine the temperature of a busbar based on editable parameters. There are more parameters that could be used to design and test this busbar, but for this example, we want to limit the parameters to the length, width, thickness, and applied voltage.

After building the initial app, the video shows you how to use some of the Application Builder tools. The two main tools are the Form Editor and Method Editor. In the Form Editor, we demonstrate how to add form objects, use the Editor Tools window, access model settings, and restrict the valid input parameters that the app user is able to enter. In the Method Editor, we show how to convert existing information into a method and generate code from clicking in the user interface, rather than writing it from scratch.

Finally, after building the app, we discuss the ways that app users can run the app through the COMSOL Multiphysics® software or COMSOL Server™ product.
