Modeling Optical Nanostructures with COMSOL Multiphysics®

Accurate simulation of optical interaction with wavelength-sized structures requires full-wave modeling. The COMSOL Multiphysics® simulation platform together with the add-on Wave Optics Module makes it possible to model single metallic or dielectric nanoparticles on substrates, as well as periodically arranged nanostructures.
During the webinar, we will discuss a few typical applications, such as diffraction gratings, photonic crystals, dielectric mirrors, plasmonic filters, and graphene-based metamaterials. The webinar will include a live demonstration of both a single scatterer and a periodic structure. We will show how you can set up a geometry, pick materials containing supplied frequency-dependent properties or specify your own, and send in light of any wavelength, polarization, and angle of incidence.
Attendees are encouraged to ask questions during the ending Q&A session.
