Geometry Problem

If I draw a circle and then use array function to copy it multiple times (The reason for doing this is to place these circles at a particular distance). Then if I want to change the radius of some circles which were copied via array function. How can I peform adjustment in radius of these circles?

Need your help

Hi

I seem to remember thsi is not possible in 3.5a, but it should be in 4.1 via a variable but I would have to check, as COMSOL might have forgotten this option like that, if so send them a suggestion for next release, as it's rather usefull I agreee

This works in version 4 if you define the radius of the circle as a parameter r0, for example (in the Global Definitions>Parameters node's Settings window). You can then change the radius of all circles created with the array feature by changing the value of r0 and rebuilding the geometry.

Ya I can do this as to change the radius of all the circles via global definitions command. But I dont want to change the diameter of all the circles however, I want to change the radius of few. For example I make a circle with radius 1.5 mm, then I pasted 100 times in a array . Now I want to change the radius of only few among the 100 circles say 20 out of 100 circles. Can I do this in COMSOL 4???

As in v4 these formulas for generating arrays are linked you need to redefine the equations for just some of them, even in SolidWorks CAD you need to rewrite new equations if you want to address just some of a general array. So that is not trivial
