Convergence issues caused by stiffness degradation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear all,

I am runing a coupled HM model for a porous media which employed the definition of damage. The Young's modulus decreases with the damage variable. When the damage is not activated, the model run very well. However, once damage initiates, the model ran extremely slow, and even cannot converge?

Does anyone have some ideas to solve this convergence issues? Thank you so much for your help and response.

Yu
