Defining a domain within an imported SolidWorks part

Hi,

I have a SolidWorks part which has holes for tubing in it. When I complete the laminar flow physics, the flow is going through the whole part instead of the holes where the tubing is. How do I define the tubing hole as its own domain, so I am able to have the fluid only flow in the one hole and out the other?

Hello Nina,

The functionality you are looking of is called "Cap Faces". You can read more about it in this older thread.

Hi Jeff,

Thank you for this information, but the defeaturing and repair option I'm not able click. I am in the 3D mode as well.

Is there another way to have the defeaturing and repair option to become available?

Hi Nina,

As this second question appears to be only tangentially related to the first, I would suggest you start a separate thread for it, and also provide more context (If you could post the .mph file that's giving you trouble in particular, you are more likely to get useful suggestions from other Discussion Forum users).
