Hi I have been trying to get the vortex shedding frequency and the St number from the standard COMSOL model of flow past cylinder.

I assume you are referring to this model of flow past a cylinder modeled with COMSOL Multiphysics. Perhaps you can clarify what questions you have? You will get better answers from Discussion Forum participants if you elaborate on what exactly you need help with.
