Design of Capacitive Vibratory Energy Harvester Calculating Change in Capacitance in Fringe Electric Field and Structural Analysis of Spring

The sensing without batteries can be realized by harvesting the unused energy in environment. The capacitive harvester can generate, since the capacitance between electrodes is changed by vibration. There are two methods of producing change in capacitance: 1) change in overlapped area between electrodes, 2) change in gap between electrodes. In this study, we calculated the change in capacitance by changing area and resonance frequency of micro spring.
