KMTC Improves Glass Manufacturing Processes via Modeling and Apps
Frank Hong, Kornerstone Materials Technology (KMTC), China
Cover glass, the screen surface material used for tablets and cell phones, offers exceptional smoothness, a mark-free surface, high visible light transmittance, and protection. The caveat is the glass' arduous manufacturing process and complicated behavior under different conditions. To optimize these processes for mass production, engineers at Kornerstone Materials Technology (KMTC), a display manufacturer, use multiphysics modeling and simulation apps to guide the production department.
