It requires the reorientation of production sources; the modernization of distribution means; and the adaptation of almost all existing applications, from the home to supertankers, airplanes, cars, communication means, etc. How can simulation be a key tool for testing, innovating, and anticipating these transformations?

Numerical simulation is becoming increasingly important, both throughout the value chain, extending far beyond research and design, and in the relevant business sectors. This goes hand in hand with the increasing performance of digital technologies and computing resources. Simulation is one of the key components of the all-digital, proclaimed horizon of the industry 4.0. But what is the real place of simulation? How will it evolve? For example, should its use be restricted to a circle of specialists or should it be deployed more widely? And if so, how? These are some of the questions we will ask a panel of numerical simulation players.
