Event Overview
Join us for an in-person, half-day event dedicated to advancing your skills in multiphysics modeling and simulation.
At this event, you will get an overview of the latest updates in COMSOL Multiphysics® and be able to take part in hands-on sessions covering a wide range of modeling topics. Whether you are just getting started with the software or are already an experienced user, the program is designed to deliver practical knowledge, best practices, and inspiration. You will also have plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow attendees throughout the day.
Schedule
12:00 — Registration
12:15 — What’s New & Guest Speaker
- Get an introduction to the powerful new features in version 6.4 and gain insight into the latest trends in simulation. A guest speaker will also share real-world experiences and lessons learned.
- See all the basic steps and learn best practices for building a new model
13:00 — What’s New within the different physics
- Get an introduction to the powerful new features within structural mechanics, acoustics, electromagnetics, fluid flow, heat transfer, chemical reaction engineering and electrochemistry.
13:45 — Coffee Break
14:00 — Geometry & Meshing
- A good mesh is key to solving your model. This session will cover best practices for building and importing geometry, preparing it for meshing, and using the latest meshing features.
14:30 — Solvers & Large Models
- Learn how to get the most out of your computer resources with the new and improved solvers, including cluster and GPU support. This session will also cover solving sequences and strategies to improve convergence for complex cases.
15:00 — Automation & Apps
- Learn how to automate repetitive tasks with model methods, the Java Shell window, and chatbot functionality. You will also see a demonstration of how to build apps in order to democratize simulations and create digital twins.
