GPU-Accelerated Acoustics Simulation in COMSOL Multiphysics®

GPU computing provides new opportunities to accelerate large and computationally demanding acoustics simulations. In this webinar, we will discuss how GPU-based solver technologies in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software can help reduce solution times and improve performance for acoustics modeling workflows.
The webinar will cover COMSOL’s in-house GPU solver for discontinuous Galerkin time-explicit pressure acoustics, which now supports multiple GPUs, as well as the NVIDIA CUDA® direct sparse solver (NVIDIA cuDSS) for NVIDIA GPUs, introduced in version 6.4. We will discuss how cuDSS-based solver workflows can be used for a wide range of single-physics and multiphysics acoustics models.
We will also show how to set up GPU computation and configure solver settings within the COMSOL environment. Through acoustics examples, we will demonstrate the speedups that can be achieved when moving suitable simulation workflows from CPU to GPU computing.
Attend this webinar to learn when GPU acceleration is most beneficial, how to configure supported GPU workflows, and how to apply best practices for more efficient acoustics simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics®. The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session.
