Acoustic emission generated by a ball impacting onto a plate or waveguide

I am new to COMSOL and I am trying to build a model of a ball impacting onto a plate or waveguide to investigate the acoustic emission generated by the impacting. I have learnt some relevant tutorials on the COMSOL website (most are based on Structural Mechanics Modul and Acoustics Module), but I still have no idea how to deal with this problem clearly.

According to some information on this forum, COMSOL is good for stationary contact problem. How can I model the impacting case? I do find some papers or discussions about modling impacting problems by COMSOL, however, as there is no official tutorial, I do not how they realized it in detail.

Another problem is can COMSOL analysize the acoustic emission by impacting? Most of the tutorials based on Structural Mechanics Modul are used to the stress analysis. How about the prolem that the acoustic emission source is generated by collision?

Thank you for your help in advance.

Guoqiang
