geometry properties in models

Dear all,

currently the model is two curved surfaces near each other (the distance between the curved surfaces are not uniform, I need the shortest distance between the two curves to evaluate an expression at each boundary point. I have searched the documentation and as these curves will eventually come into contact I have defined them as a contact pair. I assumed the variable gap_cp1 (its 1 in my model) would hold the distance but it fails to evaluate. Any suggestions or examples in using gap_cp1, or a way of getting the x,y,z coordinates of the point on the nearest surface would be appricated.

The region between the two surfaces is not meshed.

Thank you
