Boundary for PMLs?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi, I have a question about what outer boundary condition should I use for perfect matched layers?
Shall I use perfect electric conductor, or perfect magnetic conductor or periodic boundary conditions (continuity or floquet)? The simulation domain in my case is a plane wave (E=Ey, H=Hx, k=-kz) incident from the top of the box and I have a nanowire inside the box. The nanowire is sitting on a substrate and below the substrate I use a PML layer to absorb the wave.
Thanks in advance!
