keeping mesh constant

I am trying to mesh a model. The model consists of 5 cylinders with length and diameter of 3 meter. But the region is very huge (cube with 300meter in all dimensions). I tried to make mesh in many ways but it was unsuccessful. I think I need to put smaller cube for example with 20 meter and mesh this cube and then add the main cube. Simply it is not possible but if I could mesh the smaller cube and keep the number of mesh constant in a way and then add the bigger cube, it would be good. What is your idea?
