Periodic Flow Condition in Conjugate Heat Transfer Physics

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi there,

Attached is a simulation with a microfluidic channel and heat transfer. This simulation includes just one of many serpentine channels in my device and I would like to model the situation with infinite cycles. To accomplish this, I am using 'conjugate heat transfer' and want to add the periodic flow condition to the inlet and outlet fluid channel surfaces. However, I don't know how to define a velocity with this condition and the solution always blows up.

I have removed the mesh also to reduce the file size. I am using an older version of COMSOL because that is what is installed on the computer I need to use.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks!

Vicki
