hi all
This is the first time I'm in this forum and I have a problem with the optimization of a beam. Hopefully I can help.
I have a cantilever beam of long = 3 m, width 45 cm width and thick = 5 cm, with resonant frequency f1 (bending) = 4.72 Hz and f2 (bending) = 29.55 Hz, the beam is steel, I need to optimize the length and width (ie, the values of length and width) using the following frequency f1(bending)= 3.45 Hz, f2(bending) of 21.6 Hz. I have solved the problem by making a parametric sweep widths and lengths to find the length and width values that give me the frequencies 3.45 and 21.6, but would like to know how to use the optimization module comsol for this problem without resorting to parametric sweep.
attached the opitmization.mph file of my problem

best regards.
