Coupling stress

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am trying to implement the following model for stress coupled with the regular structural mechanics module in COMSOL:

ds/dT = -A - B*exp[-C*(1-s/D)]

S and T are stress tensor and temperature respectively. Please don't worry about A,B,C, and D they are just constants and I don't think they are relevant for my questions. My first question is how do you suggest to implement it? So far I used the ODE module, temperature is not time but maybe I can be successful to trick COMSOL.

My second question is how can I couple it with the regular structural mechanics module? Considering that I am using ODE for implementation.

I hope I was clear enough, thanks for you time and attention.

Cheers,
Emanuella.
