Coil Inductor Simulation With Electric and Induction Currents(AC/DC)

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All,

I am trying to simulate a coil inductor on PCB. I have a copper coil on PCB.(As shown on Fig.1)

I am applying 1A Fixed current density

I am solving this using Direct UMFPACK Solver.

The magnetic flux density I am getting is very small.

The streamline of magnetic flux density and Total current density looks incorrect for me.

The total current density is around the coil and through out the length of the coil, the magnetic flux density

is in plane parallel to the coil. (See Figure 2 and Figure 3)

Can any one please verify and tell me what is wrong.

What parameter needs to be changed to get higher value of Magnetic flux density

Thanks and Regards

ERaja Ma
