COMSOL Multiphysics usually uses an interpolation function with a local table to define the B-H curve. You can also plug in your own B-H curves by adding the B-H Curve material property to a new magnetic material.
How the Extrapolation of the B-H Curve Affects the Simulation
In the Settings window of the B-H Curve interpolation function, you can click the Plot button to visualize the B-H curve.

In this conference we have brought together a community that is scientifically diverse in an event that allows for inspiring contacts about the use of COMSOL Multiphysics. It is an event to connect with the Spanish and Portuguese COMSOL Multiphysics users and participate in training opportunities and events explicitly designed for the academic and engineering community.
Oral and poster presentations highlight achievements in multiphysics modelling and simulations using COMSOL.

It was part of a graduate course in which the assignment consisted of evaluating the potential of patents in the field of microfluidics through mathematical modeling.
The model treats an H-micro cell for separation through diffusion.

These examples show how to model a rectangular waveguide for microwaves in 2D and 3D. A single hollow waveguide can conduct two kinds of electromagnetic waves: transversal magnetic (TM) or transversal electric (TE) waves.
The models examine a TE wave that has no electric field component in the direction of propagation.

The app can be used to verify and optimize B-H curves using experimental data. It also generates curve data in the over-fluxed region, where measurement are difficult to perform. It removes the unphysical ripples of the slope of the B-H curve that might cause numerical instability.
The original B-H curve is evaluated from two aspects.

Thus, the field problem is described by a coupled A-H field formulation [1]. The magnetic field strength is used in the superconducting domain, whereas the remaining domains are treated with the magnetic vector potential.

This work explores the development of an experimental mock-up reproducing a hyperthermia treatment in the head and neck (H&N) region and its in-silico counterpart simulated in COMSOL Multiphysics®. The results demonstrated that the applicator effectively focuses the microwave energy on the tumor target, and a very good agreement between experimental and simulated temperatures was observed during the entire heating session, proving the ability of COMSOL Multiphysics® to create a reliable digital twin of a H&N microwave hyperthermia applicator.

A COMSOL Multiphysics® model of our apparatus has been created in order to simulate the pressurizations of our nanoparticles by Deuterium. Using reference measurements during a cooling process, we calibrated the model so that its thermal aspects reflect the ones of our experimental set up.
To reproduce the pressurizations, the following variables are parameters : the location of the heat source and the conductivity of the nanoparticles.

Materials based H2 storage systems for light duty vehicles need to meet challenging performance targets that have been developed by the FreedomCAR and Fuel Partnership. An alternative approach is to mix metal hydride materials with materials that enhance thermal conductivity and compact the composite material in order to obtain a H2 storage system with a low volume.

Hydrogen Embrittlement (HE) is one of the mechanisms responsible for premature failure of structures. In the context of environmental sustainability, it is compelling to improve or conceive new processes and/or new materials capable of reducing fracture induced by HE. We analyzed the influence of the oxide layer on the permeability of hydrogen.

You can now convert the associated B-H or H-B curve, which was previously supported only for stationary and time-dependent studies, into an effective B-H or H-B curve using the newly added Effective Nonlinear Magnetic Curves Calculator app. For a B-H curve, the first column represents H values and the second column represents B values and vice versa for an H-B curve.

Multigrid methods (MG) belong to the fastest solvers for partial differential equations. The key for this is an appropriate composition of the algorithmic components [1,2,4]. The multigrid solver implemented in COMSOL Multiphysics® is analyzed with respect to components and with respect to its numerical properties.
