Getting Started with COMSOL Multiphysics®


If you are new to simulation or using COMSOL Multiphysics®, this article will connect you to a series of self-guided tutorial videos that provide a comprehensive introduction to modeling with the software. These videos outline our procedure for setting up, building, and computing models, which we refer to as the modeling workflow. You will see the workflow steps in action, including:

  • Building the geometry
  • Including definitions
  • Adding materials
  • Defining the physics
  • Meshing
  • Performing a study
  • Analyzing and visualizing the results
  • Building a simulation app
