COMSOL, Inc. is seeking an engineer to join the Product Information team onsite in Burlington, MA.
Job Description
The COMSOL Multiphysics® software spans many different and interesting physics and engineering fields. As a Product Information Engineer, you will be working directly in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software to produce learning and product content. You will be tasked with writing and recording about the software in general and on how to use it. You will start by producing help articles and tutorial videos, in order for you to build a solid foundation for using the software, and then grow into more expansive projects based on your interests and skills.
As part of the Product Information team, you will collaborate closely with other teams and departments, in particular application engineers and product specialists. You will work to both support and advocate for the use of the resources our team develops. You will also work to enhance our end-users’ knowledge of our digital training. The cross-functional nature of this role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships across teams and departments to deliver exceptional digital learning resources, which support adoption of COMSOL Multiphysics® worldwide.
This is an in-office position.
Responsibilities
- Work in the COMSOL Multiphysics® software and write and record content on how to use it
- Aid in coordinating content projects related to the platform product as well as various add-on products
- Aid in coordinating digital learning efforts
- Outline, record, and support the production of marketing and tutorial videos
- Review highly technical content for a broader audience
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in an engineering field
- Ability to communicate complex topics between technical and nontechnical parties
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Current eligibility to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship for employment-based visas will be offered for this position
Helpful Qualifications
- M.S. in an engineering field
- Experience with CAD or CAE software
- 1–3 years of professional experience working cross-functionally with product development, sales, and marketing teams
- A well-rounded skillset with marketing and sales acumen
- Interest in a wide range of science and engineering fields
- Interest or experience with video production/editing
