Can COMSOL model the propagation of Acoustic Emission waves (E and F modes) on a simple surface when a pencil lead break occurs? For example a pencil lead break on the surface of a small aluminum plate.

Can it do it over time?

I'm trying to use Comsol for Acoustic Emission simulation.
Did you find a reply to your problem ?
Did you develop models concerning acoustic emission ? Propagation of AE Waves in solids, liquids, ..
I'm very interested in, and if you can, could you send me some models you developed ?

Hi there,

I am also looking for some information regarding acoustic emission simulations through materials and liquids etc...

Have you had any luck finding information on comsol or any models that may be good to look at?

I would be interested to see what there is out there to give me a heads up before starting my project.
