Venkataraghavan is the Discover Category Leader, Water, working at the interface of Science, Technology and Business, for developing solutions and products for water purification at Unilever R&D, Bangalore. He joined Unilever in 2002 and earlier worked in interfacial science, materials science and electrodynamics for the Laundry Category. Venkataraghavan also had a stint with Unilever Technology Ventures, a venture fund based in San Francisco, scouting for new technologies and understanding the conversion of technology to businesses. Starting out as a physicist designing Laser heterostructures, Venkataraghavan continues to be a keen follower of technology and its evolution, dabbling in symbian devices, iPhone and more recently android tablets Venkataraghavan obtained his PhD in physics from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and post doc\'ed with LG Electronics, Seoul; TIFR, Mumbai and Riken, near Tokyo.
