Simulations of Polymer Based Micro Heater Operated at Low Voltage

This paper presents a design of polymer based micro heater operating in the temperature range of 200- 250°C which could be operated at low voltage (battery operated). The micro heater has been designed and simulated using COMSOL 4.1, FEM simulation tool.
Simulation was performed for temperature variation and temperature distribution area is observed for various designs of micro heater by applying DC voltage across the two ends. By comparing the results we have studied the temperature distribution over the area as a function of applied voltage.
