Topology Optimization of a Sound Partition Considering Acoustic-Structure Interaction

Application ID: 107441

This model demonstrates topology optimization for a problem involving acoustic-structure interaction for a sound partition problem. The objective being to reduce sound transmission for a fixed solid material fraction.

The design domain is modeled with a mixed formulation using the Solid Mechanics interface. The Density Model feature is used to setup a regularized topology optimization problem. The optimization problem is solved using GCMMA and continuation in the topology optimization parameters. The result is verified with a body-fitted mesh and compared to a simple design.
