Acoustic Analysis of Leaks Around an Earbud
Application ID: 85191
This conceptual model analyzes the influence of leaks on the acoustic response of an earbud speaker placed in an ear-canal-like geometry. Built-in impedance models are used to capture the effects of a perforated plate in front of the speaker, skin impedance, and eardrum impedance.
The model contains a small gap representing a leak to the exterior. The effect of changes in this leak is introduced to analyze how sensitive the design is to the leak extent.
This model example illustrates applications of this type that would nominally be built using the following products:
however, additional products may be required to completely define and model it. Furthermore, this example may also be defined and modeled using components from the following product combinations:
The combination of COMSOL® products required to model your application depends on several factors and may include boundary conditions, material properties, physics interfaces, and part libraries. Particular functionality may be common to several products. To determine the right combination of products for your modeling needs, review the Grille de Spécifications and make use of a free evaluation license.
