Electromagnetic Simulation of Printed Circuit Boards in COMSOL Multiphysics® - Archived
Characterizing the electromagnetic properties of printed circuit boards (PCBs) plays a key role in application areas including 5G, the internet of things (IoT), radar, and RFID systems. Electromagnetic simulations allow engineers to evaluate such devices before producing physical prototypes, therefore reducing development costs and time.
In this webinar, we will discuss how to model the electromagnetic performance of PCBs from kHz up to GHz frequencies by using COMSOL Multiphysics®, and approaches to study types in different frequency domains. There will be a live demonstration of how to model PCB coils in the kHz range using the AC/DC Module, an add-on product to the COMSOL Multiphysics® software, as well as how to model an RF device in the GHz range using the RF Module. In both cases, the updated functionality in the latest release of the software will be showcased. We will conclude the event with a Q&A session.
