Modeling Acoustic Metamaterials in COMSOL Multiphysics
Acoustic metamaterials enable advanced control of sound waves and are often used for efficient sound absorption and insulation as well as negative refraction, wave steering, and filtering.
The COMSOL Multiphysics software provides an environment for easily testing different acoustic metamaterial designs in order to achieve a high level of control over their effective properties and to verify the required behavior of the structures.
In this webinar, we will go over the functionality in COMSOL® for modeling acoustic metamaterials and show an example of modeling a phononic crystal. We will cover how the crystal can be modeled as a unit cell before moving on to verify the results using a study of a full array of elements.
The webinar will conclude with a Q&A session.
