Learn how to model turbulent flow with the COMSOL Multiphysics® software by tuning in to this webinar.

Turbulence is commonly observed in fluid flows occurring from natural phenomena or created in engineering applications. Simulations of turbulent flow give important information about transport and mixing processes, as well as pressure drops and forces on enclosed or surrounding structures. They can also be extended to couple with other physics, such as heat transfer, species transport, and solid mechanics.

The CFD Module add-on to COMSOL Multiphysics® includes specialized functionality for turbulent flow modeling in 2D and 3D, such as interfaces for Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) and large eddy simulation (LES) models. The latest release, COMSOL® version 6.1, introduced new detached eddy simulation (DES) interfaces, which we will also explore during the presentation.

The webinar will feature a live demonstration and conclude with a Q&A.
