Heat transfer is central to understanding, controlling, and optimizing many applications in electronics, material processing, building physics, and more. Heat transfer occurs in three ways: conduction, convection, and radiation. Each of them is likely to play an important role in the development of new products and technologies.

In order to make simulation-driven decisions with accurate calculations of complex, real-world design problems, thermal radiation has to be considered in your models. During this webinar, we will focus on thermal radiation in transparent media, like air. You will see examples of common situations where thermal radiation is the primary mechanism of heat transfer and discover how to account for it in simulations. More precisely, we will demonstrate the simulation of a 3D heat transfer model that includes surface-to-surface radiation using COMSOL Multiphysics®.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.
